Even though there’s still a few king salmon around most of our attention lately has been on the oustanding silver salmon fishing that’s been going on. The coho have been on the move quite a bit, but once we land on them the action has been fast and the fish seem to be a little bigger than normal this year. We’ve already seen quite a few silvers in the 14 to 17 pound range and as the month of August ticks on we should start seeing some of those late summer bruisers that are so darn fun to catch.
Here’s Jim Farr from Phoenix, Arizona with a dandy he caught with us a few days ago.
There’s a few kings left out there and truth be told…I can’t help but drop into some of the king spots trying to pick up one last late-summer slab. It worked a few days ago and well…I just can’t get enough of that!
Thanks for stopping by and good fishing to you!
